Public Service information video for Air Mist Diffusers Awareness Education Warning Air Fresheners Toxic Danger to Human Health and pets and Extremely Flammable

The idea of having an automatic device to make your home or office smell nice is a cool idea, but choosing one that is not going to be a health and safety concern is also important.

A recent health and safety concern has been raised regarding the use of motion activated mist sprays for air freshening. According to experts, the release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the air can increase indoor air pollution and pose a health risk, particularly with long-term exposure.

VOCs are chemicals that turn into a vapor or gas easily at room temperature, and when released in an enclosed space, can be particularly dangerous to those with allergies or asthma.

People should be aware of the potential risks associated with long-term exposure to VOCs, and consider alternative air freshening products that may not pose as much of a health risk. This includes using natural air fresheners such as essential oils, as well as ensuring adequate ventilation in the home.

The European Commission classified butane and isobutane as Category 1 (substance known to be carcinogenic to man) and Category 2 for genotoxicity (substance which should be regarded as if it is mutagenic to man)
