FLIT, a company based in Cambridge that develops electric bicycles, has announced the launch of its latest product: the FLIT M2.
Designed by a team of engineers led by former Jaguar Land Rover engineer Dave Henderson, this folding ebike is designed to be the perfect companion for travel.
The FLIT M2 is also pushing the boundaries of how light and compact a folding ebike can be without compromising ride quality.
Many other brands take a folding bike and add a motor and battery to make it electric, resulting in a product that can be the size and weight of the heaviest bag that can be checked in at the airport. However, FLIT’s ebikes are different, as they have been designed to be both folding and electric from the start. The company’s engineers have integrated the electronics into the bike frames, which, when combined with their patented fold, results in a weight and folded size similar to that of hand luggage.
The FLIT M2 can be carried up to a third-floor flat or stored in the corner of a favourite cafe.
FLIT is launching the FLIT M2, their new lightweight folding ebike, in spring 2023. They will offer test rides and an exclusive Fully Charged LIVE Show at their stand (W18).
FLIT co-founders, Dave and Alex, met in 2015 and bonded over their shared love of getting around cities on electric bikes. Dave, an ex-Jaguar Land Rover engineer, had always been passionate about vehicle design whilst Alex dreamed of using his commercial and public policy experience to help make cities happier and healthier places to be. Together they wanted to create a product that made city travel effortless and that would fit neatly into urban lifestyles.
The FLIT M2 is a lightweight folding ebike that comes with plenty of upgrades while still maintaining the same price as the FLIT-16. It is the lightest FLIT ebike ever, weighing only 14kg, including the battery. The latest lithium-ion technology is built into the frame, providing riders with the ability to go further and faster.
It also features integrated front and rear LED lights, hydraulic disc brakes, and an upgraded display and electrical system. The pedalling-assist technology ensures riders can enjoy the journey while beating traffic, conquering hills, and going the extra mile in effortless style. With it’s superior fold and clean, stylish design with an anodized finish.
FLIT provides excellent customer service and a warranty, with 3 years on the frame and 2 years on the electrical system.
